Gene Caputo
Co-owner, Founder

Gene Caputo spent his early career in the corporate world, but his heart was always in creative construction, remodeling, and working with his hands. Even while working in a business environment, Gene remained dedicated to “old school” values. For example, when it was time to make improvements to his own home, he drew the plans, gathered the family to help, and put the plans into action.

In 1985, Gene tired of the corporate grind, and his turning point came in establishing G&L Renovations. The rest is history. Now, looking back on his career change, he would do it all over again. Even now, Gene Caputo would rather be pounding nails on a job site than sitting behind a desk wearing a suit and tie every day.

Chris Caputo
Co-owner, General Manager

Chris Caputo grew up in the remodeling business, and knows it from the ground up. While attending college, he earned extra money on weekends and semester breaks working on G&L remodeling projects. By the time Chris earned his B.S. in Business Administration in 1993, he was well positioned to join G&L with a uniqe blend of expertise, both in business and remodeling.

As time passed, Chris started taking a leading role in the company, attracting his own customer base, and running his own jobs. Chris’ primary role at G&L is now marketing oriented - expanding our audience, acquiring new projects, building customer relationships, and increasing projects in the custom marketplace.

David Caputo
Project Manager

David Caputo also grew up in and around the remodeling business. After receiving a B.S. in Business Administration, he worked as a business analyst and in Information Technology for 12 years.

In 2003, David joined G&L, bringing his business acumen and experience along with him. His original charge was multi-faceted – he served as an on-the-job carpenter, but also as computer expert, data entry and payroll manager, and general administrator. David has grown in both capacities over the years. He has brought G&L’s systems to the cutting edge, and yet also enjoys running field projects as well.

Beth Caputo
Office Manager

Beth Caputo, Gene’s wife, spent most of her career in the corporate world. She left to work with G&L in 2006, and has taken on administrative and bookkeeping functions, leaving Chris and David more time to actively run the company and build relationships with our customers. Beth enjoys the diversity of her position, and the new experience of helping run the family business.
